Sherrill (Sherry) Ada Bradford
1940-2026
Surrounded by her family and best friends, the passing of Sherrill "Sherry" Ada Bradford, occurred peacefully at St. Joesph’s Hospital on Thursday, July 2, 2026. She was born in Truro, NS to the late George and Lena Elizabeth (Hill) Hinchcliff. Sherry enjoyed working in retail and retired as a regional manager for Stedman’s chain of department stores.
In retirement you would often find her chatting with her friends at Tim Horton’s or having a bite at her favorite restaurant. In her spare time she would be doing her puzzle and watching "Turner Classic Movies". If it wasn’t the movie channel, she would be glued to every curling game watching the Scottie’s and the Brier often calling us to say "curling’s on Channel 625!" The results of the day’s events and winners of the matches were discussed in detail with her friend Linda on their daily calls.
Mom will be missed and fondly remembered by her two daughters: Sharon Scholten (Peter) of Lakeside, N. B. and Leslie Bouchard (Jean-Pierre) of Quebec; Grandchildren: Dr. Ashley McCarthy (Arthur), Natalie Scholten; R.Ph., (Josh Darrell) and Dr. Amy Bouchard. Great Grammie immensely enjoyed all visits and family events with her great-grandchildren; Ayden, Ayliza and Aylena McCarthy and Lyrik and Hazen Darrell. There was never any shortage of her famous chocolate cake with boiled icing and endless packages of smarties for the little ones.
She was predeceased by her parents; first husband, Charles Dale Hennigar; second husband, Gailand Bradford and brother, Wallace Johnson.
Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home (755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George NB. A celebration of life will be at the funeral home on Thursday, July 9th from 1:00pm to 4:00 pm.
