Katherine "Kathy" Sylvia Campbell

The peaceful passing of Katherine "Kathy" Sylvia Campbell, wife of R. Burton Campbell, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Thursday, July 2, 2026 after a period of failing health. She was born on July 6, 1941 in Timmins, ON to the late Leonard and Della (Drapeau) Laronde. Kathy and her husband Burt owned and operated a large convenience store in Barnesville for many years. After retiring, her and Burt bought a Motorhome and travelled all over North America for the next 10 years.

Besides her devoted husband, Burt; Kathy is survived by her step-son, Blaine Campbell (Kim) of Hampton; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Ronald Laronde of Bocabec; dear friend, Linda Mitchell of Campobello and several nieces and nephews.

A special thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff of 5CS, especially Gabrielle for their compassion and care during Kathy’s stay with them.

Arrangements are in the care of the St. George Funeral Home (506-755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George NB. In keeping with Kathy’s wishes there will be no visitation or service. For those who wish remembrances to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
