David Peter Stafford

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of David Peter Stafford at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John NB on June 25, 2026 at the age of 83. David was born on March 8, 1943, the son of the late Lois Stafford and the late Louis Stafford and lived in Quispamsis growing up.

David is survived by his wife, Dot Knodell and her family. Two sons, Cris and Robert; stepdaughter Diane and family and best friend Wayne Janes.

Following a lengthy career, David retired from Point Lepreau in 2003. He lived a full live and was active in many activities such as bowling, golf, RVing, four-wheeling and boating. In his spare time he enjoyed woodworking, model trains, gardening and traveling. David traveled worldwide including all over Canada, the USA, Europe, Scandinavia and Moracco just to name a few. David loved all animals and would do anything to help them; giving all strays a home and having many pets; lots of cats.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by aunts and uncles, cousins as well as his wife Marion and his stepdaughter, Pam.

Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home (506-755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George NB. In keeping with David’s wishes, there will be no public service. Interment will take place in Ocean View Memorial Gardens, Saint John NB at a later date. In David’s memory, donations to the Saint John Animal Rescue League would be greatly appreciated by the family.
