Allyson Karene Haddon

1954-2024

Allyson Karene Haddon

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Allyson Karene Haddon announce her passing on December 27, 2024 at the Saint John Regional Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. Allyson was born in L’Etete NB on January 7, 1954 to the late Burpee Nelson Tucker Jr. and Marjorie Leona (Leavitt). She was predeceased by her late husband of 29 years, H. David Haddon, and by her stepdaughter, Connie Hatt.

Allyson came from a family of nine. Left to mourn are her brothers Rudy (Irene), Phil (Nancy), Ted (Linda), Roger (Barb) and Rick (Zelda), her sisters Diane (Glen) Tucker, Janice (Terry) Matthews and Beverly (Kevin) Leslie, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and aunts whom she had a close relationship with. That relationship also included stepdaughters Joan (Georges) Richard and Vicki Haddon (Ross Norman), grandchildren Julie, Jess, Melissa, Shane and Matthew.

Prior to retirement, Allyson worked for a time for Charlie Grew in St. George. She then went to work for J.D. Irving Limited at Lake Utopia Paper in 1978, retiring in 2013. She was a loving, gracious, caring person who loved her family and her Lord. Always the shining light with her love and sense of humor, Allyson enjoyed her sister days and the laughter and good times. She loved her grandchildren, listening to their many adventures, pictures sent back, and their work. She was very proud of them.

Allyson touched so many lives with her love and big heart. She will be dearly missed. She has left such a big hole in our lives…the first break in our family of nine. We know she is at peace now in the Lords arms and that will be enough to get us through this time.

Always remembered. Forever in our hearts. We love you Al.

Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home (506-755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George NB. In keeping with Allyson’s wishes, there will be no visitation or service. In her memory, donations to a charity of the donor’s choice would be greatly appreciated by her family.
