Anthony "Tony" Lewis McVicar

Anthony "Tony" Lewis McVicar born August 28th 1961, passed away peacefully on December 17th 2024 at the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen NB.

Tony leaves behind the love of his life his wife Karen McVicar of St George, daughter Jodie Smith (Michael) of Quispamsis, son Shane McVicar (Lisa) of Gooderham ON, stepdaughter Brittany Hood of Fredericton, brothers William McVicar (Betty) of Calais Me, John McVicar (Eleanor) of Markham ON, sisters Diane Gillespie-Bowman (Bill) of St Stephen, Linda Babineau (Luke) of Seeleys Cove. Grandchildren, Gregor and Nathan Smith, Aidan Justason, Tessa and Abby McVicar, Jackson Hood and Hudson Allen-Hood. He leaves behind so many wonderful nieces and nephews, Ann Banks-Markey, Wayne Babineau, Tammy Cooke, Derek Bowman, Mark McVicar, Jennifer McVicar-Girard, Aaron McVicar, Yancy Erskine to name a few.  He was fortunate enough to have so many that loved him.

Tony is predeceased by his mother F. Eva (Kinney) McVicar and father Harold John McVicar, brothers Roger Allen McVicar, Wayne Eugene McVicar and many aunts and uncles.

Tony could always be found working in the garage or fixing something that was broken and should’ve been thrown out, but he knew he could fix it. He enjoyed gardening like his father Harold. Tony was lucky to have found his one true love when he met Karen and they began their 22 year journey together. He will be greatly missed by many special friends Glen Leland, Wade McVicar, Gary Janes…Tony loved and greatly missed another special young man, he always held a part of his heart.

Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home (755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George NB. A celebration of life will be held from the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch # 40, St. George NB on Saturday, December 28, 2024 from 1-4 pm. A graveside service will be held in the spring. In lieu of flowers, donations to the St. George and Area Food Bank would be appreciated by the family.
