A very social and well-known individual in the community, Woody was the founder and operator of Woody’s Mobile Wash, where in the early years, he was a fixture every Saturday morning at Murray Watson’s in St. George washing cars. He kept active in his local community as a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch # 40 in St. George as well as the local chapter of AA, where he made lifelong friends and helped countless members along their journey. A car guy, Woody loved fast cars and driving in them, and over the years his family has lost count of how many vehicles he had bought and sold. In his earlier days, he worked for Coca-Cola and made sure his family and friends had all the Coca-Cola merchandise they could collect. Woody also kept active during both blueberry and wreath seasons, helping his family anyway he could. He enjoyed spending his winters in Florida with Brenda, being at their cottage on Lake Utopia and attending Bingo. His giving heart, warm smile and genuine care for others truly made Woody one of a kind. His devotion to his community will be forever remembered with great gratitude and he will be missed beyond words by all who knew him.
