Melinda Beth Matheson

The passing of Melinda Beth Matheson of Back Bay NB occurred unexpectedly at her residence on October 13, 2024. Born in St. Stephen NB on July 26, 1981, she was a daughter of Mary (Noddin) Matheson and the late Karl S. Matheson. Melinda is survived by two sons: Nathan Parker of Back Bay NB and Tristan Matheson of Bocabec NB; her mother, Mary Matheson of Bocabec NB; her siblings: Marven Matheson (Jenny Schmitz) of Bonny River NB, Laura Burgh (Jamie) of Nanaimo BC and Kenneth Matheson (Ana Vera) of Clairmont AB; her close friend, Barb McFarlane of St. George NB; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her father, Karl, Melinda was predeceased by one sister, Melissa Ann Matheson.

In her spare time, Melinda enjoyed hunting and being out on the water. She was an avid reader who enjoyed listening to music, especially Country and Jelly Roll. She was a loving, kind and generous soul who would give the shirt off her back to anyone who needed it. Most of all, Melinda truly loved her boys and they were her whole life.

Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home (506-755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George NB. Resting at the funeral home with visiting on Thursday from 6-8 pm. A graveside service will take place at the St. George Rural Cemetery on Friday at 11:00 am with Pastor Jody MacBeth officiating. In Melinda’s memory, donations to the St. George and Area Food Bank would be appreciated by the family.
