John Lloyd Cooke
1951-2024
Surrounded by his family the passing of John Lloyd Cooke, husband of Brenda (Burnside) Cooke occurred on August 7, 2024 at the Charlotte County Hospital. He was born on November 5, 1951 at Back Bay, NB to the late Arnold M. and Louis E. (Seamans) Cooke A loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend, John is survived by: his wife, Brenda of Deer Island; daughters: Nicki (Dwayne) Richardson of Deer Island, Tammy Marino (Andrew) of Connecticut, and Tricia Ferland (Paul), of Maine, Nadine Leslie of Deer Island; sons; Jonathan (Melissa) Cooke of Elmsville, and Nathan Leslie (Aurea) of Deer Island; brother, Burton Cooke (Kathy) of Beaver Harbour, grandchildren: Maxwell Richardson (Tonelle) and Cole Richardson (Alyssa) both of Deer Island, Gabriel, Sydney and Piper Banda all of Maine, Emily, Sara, Tyler Cooke all of Elmsville, Jodie Leslie (Shane) of Pennfield and Kieran and Ethan Leslie of Deer Island; great-grandchildren: William, Mallory, Lennox and Madison several nieces nephews and cousins. Besides his parents, John was predeceased by his brothers: Rufus, Vance, Lawerence, Wendell, Gerald, and Junoir Cooke; sisters: Janice Green, Jean Leavitt, Sally Barry, Gail Gaudett, Voilet Cooke and Connie McVicar and grandson, Jake McKay.
John worked hard all his life. He was a carpenter for many years and also worked for Heritage and Cookes Aquaculture. John enjoyed playing darts and bingo and was an avid antique collector. His family was important to him, he cherished spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home (755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George NB. A Graveside Service will take place in Fairhaven Community Cemetery, Calder’s Head on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at 3:00 pm with Rev. Gordon Cooke officiating. Following the service a celebration of life will be held at Lords Cove Sunday School. In John’s memory donations to Charlotte County Extra-Mural or the Fairhaven Cemetery would be appreciated by the family.
