Donald "Donnie" Isaiah Doughty

The passing of Donald "Donnie" Isaiah Doughty, husband of the late Shirley Irene (Shortridge) Doughty, occurred peacefully at the Passamaquoddy Lodge, St. Andrews NB, on May 13, 2024. Born on May 14, 1936, on Deer Island, to the late Lawrence and Lillian (Camick) Doughty.

A loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, Donnie is survived by his children: Kenneth (Bonnie) of Fredericton NB, Robert (Janice) of Deer Island and Douglas (Joan) of Toronto ON; 2 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, Donnie was predeceased by his loving wife Shirley.

Prior to retirement, Donnie worked for a variety of companies, retiring from Nordic Enterprises. An avid outdoorsman, Donnie was a hunter and fisherman who enjoyed spending his time outdoors.

Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home (506-755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George NB. In keeping with Donnie’s wishes, there will be no visitation. A Graveside service will be held in Fairhaven Community Cemetery on Saturday, May 25, 2024 at 1:00 pm With Rev. Glenn Cox officiating. In Donnie’s memory, donations to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
