Terry Lynn Thorne

The passing of Terry Lynn Thorne of Beaver Harbour NB occurred at McAdam NB on April 30 2024. Born at Blacks Harbour NB on February 4 1963, she was a daughter of the late Kenneth and Audrey (Mahar) Thorne

 

A loving mother, chosen mother, chosen grandmother and sister, she is survived by her son Nicholas Thorne (Melissa Case) of Beaver Harbour NB, her special friend and companion Kevin Dunphy of McAdam NB, chosen children: Markus and Chloe, chosen grandchildren Forrest, Asher, and Emma, her brothers: Danny Thorne of Yukon, Ross and (Sammy) Thorne of Beaver Harbour NB, John (Karen) Thorne and Blaine Thorne, both of Edmonton Alberta, sisters: Nancy Thorne of Utopia, Kathy and (Bill) Small of Grand Manan and Berta "Sheri" (Paul) Kinney of Canal NB and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister Lois Whittier and her brother Richard Thorne.

 

Terry was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of Fundy High school of the class of 1981. She worked in the aquaculture industry for 30 years, first for Heritage Salmon and as of late, Cooke Aquaculture. She was an avid animal lover, especially her cats and dogs. She enjoyed simple pleasures such as drinking coffee and socializing with her friends and sisters. She was also a lover of the outdoors and could be seen many times at Kevin’s side on his side by side. She had a wicked sense of humor along with a touch of sarcasm at its finest. Terry also loved spending her time with Kevin, her family, and her chosen grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by her family, friends and all who knew her.

In keeping with Terry’s wishes there will be no visitation or formal funeral service. A celebration of her life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch # 40, St. George NB on Saturday, May 11th from 1:00-3:00pm. In Terry’s memory, Donations to a charity of the donors choice would be appreciated by the family
