Patricia Ann Butler
1941-2024
The passing of Patricia Ann (Tucker) Butler, formerly of St. George NB, occurred at the Passamaquoddy Lodge, St. Andrews NB on April 5, 2024. Born in St. Stephen NB on August 25, 1941, she was a daughter of the late Ronald "Pat" and Bernice (McGrattan) Tucker.
Prior to retirement, Patricia had a long and rewarding career as a teacher for over 35 years, primarily in the Oromocto area. A social butterfly and someone who was active in her community, Patricia was a member of the local Red Hatters, the Green’s Point Lighthouse Association and was once a member of the Fundy Nursing Home Board. She enjoyed curling at the St. George Curling Club, golfing, and in her younger days, square dancing. Patricia was a voracious reader with a passion for travel and went on many trips with both her sister Ellen and her daughter, Paula. She looked forward to her boat trips, especially to Eastport with her family and loved spending all her free time at the cottage, "The Fish House" where many family potlucks were shared and many memories were made.
Patricia leaves to mourn her two daughters: Paula (Chris)
Cooke of L’Etete NB and Patrea Clappison of Halifax NS; her
grandchildren: Naomi Cooke of the Northwest Territories and Chris
Cooke (Janelle Brown) of Bonny River NB; great-grandchildren: Madison
(Tristan) Hutchinson, Megan Watson, Kolben Cooke and Jace Cooke; her
sister: Ellen Tucker (Dr. Gordon Chapman) of St. Stephen NB and many
cousins. In addition to her parents, Patricia was predeceased by one
son in infancy.
