Brandon Cory Maurice Mitchell

2006-2024

Brandon Cory Maurice Mitchell

The passing of Brandon Cory Maurice Mitchell occurred as the result of a tragic accident on Campobello Island on March 22, 2024. Born in Saint John NB on June 1, 2006, he is the son of Colin and Krista (Goudie) Mitchell.

Where do I even begin. Brandon loved life and lived it his way. I don’t think he ever met anyone who didn’t like him. He was a funny and likeable guy. Although he lived in Little Lepreau, he loved Campobello and everyone on it. He made some amazing friends there. When he was on the island, you knew it, you could hear him coming on his bike.

He enjoyed scallop and lobster fishing with his buddy Noah and digging clams. When he did something, he did it with his whole heart. Always there to lend a hand or give one of his amazing hugs, and they were the best.

He loved fishing and hunting and could often be found on a lake or river with a pole in his hand, but watch out for hunting season, because B didn’t miss when he aimed. I was fortunate to be apart of that with him and will hold those special times close.

Brandon was often called B, Branman or B-Man by all those who loved him. B lived more life in 17 years than most do in a lifetime. We will miss and love him every day, until we meet again.

Brandon will be always loved and cherished by his parents: Colin and Krista Mitchell; his brother: Lukas Bent of Musquash; sister: Ocean Mitchell of Little Lepreau; his girlfriend: Olivia Nixon of Kennebecasis Valley; maternal grandmother: Sheila Coulton of Musquash; paternal grandmother: Laverne Mitchell of Saint John; paternal grandfather: Robin Mitchell of Saint John; his great-grandmother: Valerie Poole of Lorneville; and by several aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends.

Brandon was predeceased by his paternal grandfather and step-grandmother: Donald Goudie and Loreen Talbot; and Big Nan: Christine Lomax.
