Terry Clayton Barry

1956-2023

Terry Clayton Barry

The passing of Terry Clayton Barry occurred unexpectedly at his residence in St. George NB on November 17, 2023. Born in St. Stephen NB on May 16, 1956, he was the son of the late Arthur and Geraldine (Hatt) Barry.

A loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, Terry is survived by two sons: Nick (Maria) Barry and Patrick Barry (Jade Doiron) both of Caithness NB; grandchildren: Renay Barry-Hanley, Tyson Hall, Ethan Barry, Dawson Barry, Noah Barry and Eli Barry; siblings: Elwood (Brenda) Barry of St. George NB, Glenna (Harold) Ross of L'Etang NB, Ross Barry of Caithness NB, Greg Barry (Holly Martin) also of Caithness NB, Raleigh Barry (Louise Jay) of St. Stephen NB and Debbie (Earl) Ingalls of St. George NB; his sisters-in-law: Peggy Ann Barry of Caithness NB and Sandra Barry of St. Stephen NB; many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, Arthur and Geraldine, he was predeceased by brothers: Peter, George, Donald and David; sisters: Beullah and Diane; and sisters-in-law: Judy Barry and Bonnie Barry.

Prior to retirement, Terry worked at Lake Utopia Pulp and Paper for roughly 40 years. A true family man, he was a wonderful father to his boys and devoted his time to spending every free moment with them and his beloved grandchildren. A hard worker, Terry took great pride in all his accomplishments, whether it was making wreaths or blueberrying, when he did a job, he put his heart and soul into it and did it to the best of his ability, an attribute he passed on to his sons. Terry was always willing to help those in need, "giving the shirt off his back" and was the first to drop everything to help a friend. Though he will be missed we will always be grateful for the time we had, and his love, humor and devotion will be forever remembered by his family and many friends.

Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home (506-755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George NB. In keeping with Terry’s wishes, there will be no visiting.
