Eric "Allison" Hannan
1949-2023

The passing of Eric "Allison" Hannan, beloved husband to Leah D. (Hanley) Hannan, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on October 26, 2023. Born in St. Stephen, NB on May 30, 1949, he was a son of the late Victor C. and Bertha L. (Moulton) Hannan. A loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother, he is survived by his wife: Leah of St. George NB; daughter: Faith (Carson) Cooke of Upper L’Etang NB; his son: Corey (Holly) Hannan of Utopia NB; his pride and joy, his grandchildren: Cameron Cooke, Megan Hannan and Jaxen Hannan; his brothers: Leonard (Nancy) Hannan, Ronald (Ruby) Hannan; one sister: Madolyn Hannan; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by sister: Novella Leblanc; brother: Ted Hannan; nephews: Jamie Hannan and Mark Sperry; one niece; Kimberly MacPherson.
Prior to his retirement Allison was a carpenter by trade and owner of Hannan’s Pumping Service for 39 years, as well as a school bus driver. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed spending time at his camp on McDougall lake. He enjoyed watching the wildlife in his backyard, and going on adventures on his side by side. He also used to frequent the races at the track in Geary NB. Allison, foremost, was a man of God. A member of both the Sea View Gospel Church in Back Bay as well as Cornerstone Tabernacle in St. George he was also an ordained minister who pastored several churches in the area, including the Apostolic Mission Church in Pennfield NB. He enjoyed pastoring, preaching, leading bible study, as well as a being active as a youth leader. Allison was a kind and caring man who loved his community and spending time with this family. He will be sadly missed by his family, extended family, as well as all who knew him.
Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home (506-755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George NB. Visitation will be held at the Sea View Full Gospel Church, Back Bay NB on Saturday, October 28, 2023 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. The service will take place at the church on Sunday, October 29, 2023 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Randy Crozier officiating, followed by interment in the St. Geore Rural Cemetery. In Allison's memory, donations to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
