Dawn Elizabeth Frankland

The passing of Dawn Elizabeth Frankland occurred peacefully at the Grand Manan Nursing Home, Grand Manan, NB on October 5, 2023. Born in North Head NB on December 19, 1934, she was a daughter of the late Percy and Nellie (Weaver) Upton. A loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, Dawn will be lovingly remembered by her two sons: Karl (Elaine) Ingersoll of Grand Manan and Turner "Bim" (Ruth) Ingersoll of Ontario; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one sister: Lorraine Ingalls of Ontario; one brother: Russell (Joyce) Upton of Grand Manan NB; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, Dawn was predeceased by her first husband: Clifton T. Ingersoll; her second husband: Burton C. Frankland; and by one brother: Ronald Upton.

Prior to retirement, Dawn was employed at the Grand Manan Hospital for over 25 years where she worked in the housekeeping department. She was a member of the North Head Wesleyan Church for many years.

In keeping with Dawn’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date followed by interment in the North Head Cemetery. In her memory, donations to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
