Jean Alice Bradford

It is with great sadness that the family of Jean Alice (Burris) Bradford, wife of the late Roy "Buddy" Bradford, announce her passing on September 2, 2023. Jean was born in Eel River Crossing NB on December 13, 1926 and was a daughter of the late Lorne and Mildred (Parrott) Burris.
A loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother, Jean is survived by three daughters: Maureen Bradford of Lake Utopia NB, Colleen (Paul) Schmiedendorff of Blacks Harbour NB and Beverly Frost of Second Falls NB; one son: Kalvin (Linda) Bradford of Texas USA; one sister: Donna McIntyre of Dalhousie NB; five sisters-in-laws: Alice Bradford, Judy Bradford, Deloris Lockhart, Marina Bradford and Evelyn Bradford; three grandchildren: Kathie (Terry) Kelson, Mark (Eva) Frost and Bonnie Havens; 11 great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents and husband, Jean was predeceased by one brother: Gerald Burris, and three sisters: Vera Bernard, Zella Gaudett and Betsy Turner.
Prior to retirement, Jean worked as a packer at Connors Bros Ltd in Blacks Harbour. She enjoyed watching and participating in TV game shows and she was an avid knitter. She loved her church in Blacks Harbour and loved her Lord and her family. Jean was a humble woman and thought of others before herself. She lived a life that reflected our Lord and Saviour and her family was truly blessed.
A very special thank you to Dr. Bone and all the staff and residents at the Fundy Nursing Home for their love and support of our mother and to us, we felt we belonged to a very beautiful and large family.
