Daniel "Danny" Murray Hill
1955-2023

The passing of Daniel Murray Hill, husband of the late Loretta "Lori" Elizabeth (Young) Hill, of Pennfield NB, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John NB on March 1, 2023. Born in Blacks Harbour NB on July 2, 1955, he was a son of the late Franklin and Isabel (Stevens) Hill. A loving and devoted father, grandfather and brother, Danny is survived by his children: Scott (Sara) Hill and Amy Chevarie (Chris) both of Pennfield NB; his grandchildren: Emily, Isaac, Olivia and James; siblings: Robert (Helen) Hill of Blacks Harbour NB, David (Susan) Hill of Pennfield NB, Gerry Hill of Saint John NB and Krista (Terry) Martin of Canal NB; many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents and wife, Danny was predeceased by one daughter in infancy: Trina Rose; and by siblings: Stephen and Faith.
Prior to retirement, Danny or "Boomer" as he was
known, worked as a boom truck operator for Stolt Sea Farms. A very
social and friendly soul, Danny was able to strike up a conversation
wherever he went. When his kids were younger, Danny was an active
volunteer in the local Minor Hockey League and spent many hours in the
local arena. In his spare time, he enjoyed driving the loop around
Beaver Harbour and Blacks Harbour where he would stop at the local
wharfs to catch up with the local fishermen. Before Lori’s
passing, Danny and Lori enjoyed many backyard campfires with friends
and family. Their house was truly the "drop in" place for
their children’s friends and on any given day the kitchen
would be full of stories and laughter. While we sadly mourn the
passing of Danny, we take great comfort in knowing he is now reunited
with the love of his life, Lori.
