Laura "Augie" Pearl Mills

The passing of Laura "Augie" Pearl Mills occurred at the Passamaquoddy Lodge on February 11, 2023 with her granddaughter Pam and great-granddaughter Jennifer by her side. Born in Saint John NB on September 29, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Robert Joseph Crilley and Flora May (Hutchens) Crilley.

A loving daughter, sister, aunt, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother, Laura is survived by her grandchildren: Donna, Darren, Pam, Deb, Bobby, Lloyd, Natasha and Jason; her great-grandchildren: Robert, Sarah, Jennifer, Vanessa, Jordan, Joshua, Taylor, Ally, Tiffany, Michelle, Trissa, Morgan and Carter; and many great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Laura was predeceased by her sons: Robert and William; her daughter: Elizabeth; and by her siblings: John, Donald and David Crilley, Mabel Eagles and Mary Ross.

Laura was the monarch of the family! She lived a long and happy life. She worked a short time in a bakery but most of her life was devoted to her children and grandchildren. She loved to Yodel and tell stories about her childhood. She cared deeply for family and was an exceptional Mother and Grandmother. We will miss her dearly but are happy to know that she is with her children once again.

The family would like to take this time to thank the staff at Passamaquoddy Lodge for taking such great care of Laura while she was a resident there.

Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home (506-755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George NB. Resting at the funeral home with visiting on Tuesday from 6-8 pm. The service will be held on a date to be announced in the spring followed by the interment in the Bocabec Community Cemetery. In Laura’s memory, donations to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
