Ralph Emerson Holland

1970-2023

Ralph Emerson Holland

Unexpectedly, at the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen NB, Ralph Emerson Holland passed away.

Born at Saint John NB on November 3, 1970, to the late Ralph and Dorothy (Strain) Holland.

Ralph was the beloved partner of Nancy Ouellet, a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many. Ralph was survived by his partner Nancy of Back Bay NB, son Dominic of Utopia NB, daughter Autumn of Back Bay NB, his cherished grandson, Emerson, his loving sister, Nancy Dowling (AJ), Saint John NB, brother-in-law, Dennis Ouellet (Amanda Keefe) Deer Island NB, sister-in-law Amy Gaddas Pennfield NB as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents.

Ralph was a diver by trade and employed by Fresh Atlantic Seafood for nearly 30 years. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and metal detecting, always on a never-ending search for treasure. He also loved boating and being on the water. When he was on the water he was diving and "treasure hunting" and was always successful in finding "treasure".

Ralph was known as an avid outdoorsman who especially loved hockey and playing a round of golf with his buddies at the St. George Golf Club. He was also a bit of a dart player as well as a cribbage Ace. If you ever went to visit Ralph in his garage you’d end up in either a cribbage or dart game whether you intended to or not.

Ralph was known to be a very caring and compassionate man with his heart open to everyone no matter who they were. He was very giving and his many acts of kindness are endless. He will be sadly missed by his family, friends and all he knew him. To his favorite little buddy, "10-4 rubber ducky"!!!

A time of visitation and to celebrate Ralph will be held at the St. George Funeral Home (755-3533), 26 Portage Street, St. George NB on Saturday, January 21, 2023, from 2-6 pm. A Celebration of Life will follow at the St. George Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #40 from 7:00-9:00pm. In lieu of flowers in Ralph’s memory, donations to an education fund for Emerson would be appreciated by the family.
