Cleveland Eugene Justason

The passing of Cleveland Eugene Justason, beloved husband to Mary Ann M. (Palk) Justason, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John NB on September 3, 2022. Born in St. Stephen NB on October 13, 1937, he was the son of the late Alden and Eleanor (Gaudett) Justason.

A loving husband, nephew, brother-in-law, cousin and friend, Cleveland is survived by his loving wife: Mary Ann; his aunt: Juanita Cheney: his uncle: Fowler Gaudett, his in-law family: Alfred Palk, Alice (Peter) Boudreau, Brenda (Robert) Gaudette, Philip Palk (Nina), Leo (Lorraine) Palk, Doreen Gaudet (Dwayne) and Cecil (Linda) Palk; as well as several cousins and many friends. In addition to his parents, Cleveland was predeceased by two brothers-in-law: Gaetan Palk and Gregory Palk.

Prior to his retirement, Cleveland worked for many years for Connors Brothers Limited, most of those years in the Can and Cover Division, where he worked as a machine operator, maintenance mechanic, lead hand and retiring as a supervisor. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and skeet shooting. Hunting was a true passion for Cleveland and he lived for hunting season every year. Cleveland also loved sports and enjoyed playing softball and hockey in his younger years. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

In keeping with Cleveland's wishes there will be no visiting or service. In Cleveland's memory, donations to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
