Brenda Joy Matheson

1953-2022

Brenda Joy Matheson

It is with immense sadness that we announce the passing of Brenda Joy Matheson, beloved wife of Bedford Matheson. Cherished sister of Kimberley (Greg Gaudett), step mom to Angela (Willie Mclellan) and Ann (Grady Middleton) a special grandmother to McKayla (Travis) and Brad, and an incredibly loved aunt of Jess, Trevor and April and all her great nieces and nephews.

Brenda was a woman with many loves, including playing cards with her friends, time at Mcdougall Lake and spending time with her great nieces and nephews. She had a great sense of humour, always making those laugh around her, and this was true throughout her fight. She was a loyal and hard worker for Connors and Cookes over the years, assuming many different roles, and was well loved by all who worked alongside her. Brenda was an absolute light in our lives and was incredibly loved and gave incredible love to those closest to her. She will be inconceivably missed but we all feel comfort in knowing she will be reunited with her precious Melissa.

The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to nurses Victoria and Maria of the Saint John Regional Hospital of 4C South, Dr. Vance Anderson and the New Brunswick Extra Mural nurses (especially Paula) for their kind and compassionate care shown to Brenda and her family.
