James "Jimmy" E. Greenlaw

The passing of James "Jimmy" E. Greenlaw, husband of the late Linda (Hubbard) Greenlaw occurred at the Fundy Nursing Home, Blacks Harbour NB on August 17, 2022. Born in St. Stephen NB on May 28, 1946, he was a son the late Irving and Jessie (Kernighan) Greenlaw. A loving father, grandfather and brother, Jimmy is survived by his two sons: Darren (Colette) Greenlaw of Pennfield NB and Ryan (Susan) Greenlaw of St. George NB; grandchildren: Michael (Kristy), Matthew (Cora), Brandon (Desiree) and Ariannah Bartlett; two great-grandchildren: Colben and Krew; one brother: George (Eleanor) Greenlaw of Blacks Harbour NB; special niece: Anita Hodgson; several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his wife and parents, Jimmy was predeceased by one son: Irving; sister: Ellen Eldridge; and brother-in-law: Jarvis Wilson (Viola).

Prior to retirement, Jimmy worked for Connors Brothers in Blacks Harbour from where he retired after working many years in the can shop. A simple man, after retirement he enjoyed his time being on the lake fishing or being in the company of his family. Jimmy was a member of the Masonic Lodge #12 F&AM in St. George for over 40 years and was also a member of the Blacks Harbour Wesleyan Church. He will be sadly missed by his family and countless friends.

A heartfelt thank you the Staff of the Fundy Nursing Home for their compassion and exceptional care of Jimmy while he was with them.

Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home (755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George NB. Resting at the Blacks Harbour Wesleyan Church, Blacks Harbour NB with visiting on Thursday from 6-8 pm and on Friday from 1-3 pm. The service will be held from the church on Friday at 5:00 pm with Rev. Gordon Cooke officiating followed by the interment in the St. George Rural Cemetery. A Masonic Tribute service will be held at the church on Friday at 3:00 pm. In Jimmy's memory, donations to the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
