It is with saddened hearts that we announce that the passing of Mirko Sever occurred on Friday, July 8, 2022 at his residence at St. George NB. Born in Strocja Vas, Yugoslavia on July 3, 1936, he was the son of the late Rudulf and Alojsija Sever. A loving father, grandfather and brother, he is survived by his daughter: Sonja Bailey (Eric Richard) of Canal, NB; grandchildren: Jayden Bradley Cozry of B.C. and Amanda Leigh Vienno-Bailey of Ontario; brother: Rudy Sever and niece Maja Sever both of Slovenia as well as several cousins. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his wife, Sorjo Sever.
Prior to Mirko's retirement, he spent many years as a nurse,
a profession which he obtained when he immigrated to England. His
nursing career lead him to Rosseau, Ontario where he practiced in the
health care system in the greater Toronto area. Mirko also had a deep
faith in God and served as an evangelist for the Seventh Day Adventist
Church. He then came to New Brunswick to his present home in 2018. He
especially loved walking and cycling as well as traveling. He will be
