Marguerite "Marg" Lailah Wentworth

Marguerite (Norman) Wentworth (Marg), 89, June 19th, 2022, peacefully at the Saint John Reginal Hospital, with family at her side. Born in Beaver Harbour, NB. The daughter of the late Chester Norman and Elizabeth (McNichol) Norman-Clark.

Marguerite was a faithful woman of God and a prayer warrior, who knelt by her bedside to pray each night late into her life. She was an active member of the Baptist Church in St. George where she taught Sunday School, was a member of the choir and Ladies Guild. Marguerite was an avid reader who loved reading about God’s faithfulness. She liked cross country skiing and square dancing with her husband Norman.

In her younger years Marguerite was a waitress, an usher at the movie theatre in St. George and a clerk at the Eaton’s Order office. Later in life she worked alongside her husband Norman at their family-owned Wentworth’s Grocery. More than anything else, Marguerite loved to spend time with her family, sharing a meal, laughs and playing cards and board games.

Marguerite is survived by her devoted husband of 70 years and best friend Norman Wentworth. Her adored children Nancy (Wentworth) Cushing (Brad), William Wentworth (Susan), and Tammy (Green; Wentworth) Cooke. Loved son-in-law Robert Nodding.
