Sharon Gayl Hartford

With her family at her side, the death of Sharon Hartford, wife of Michael Hartford occurred at the Palliative Care Unit (SJRH) on Saturday, June 4, 2022. She was born on May 31, 1943 in Eastport, ME to the late Earle and Sara "Sadie" (Parks) Calder. Besides her devoted husband Michael, Sharon is survived by her son, Gordon Weatherby; grandchildren, Robert, Stephen (Larissa), and Timothy; grandchildren, Nevaeh and Misty; step-daughters: Nancy Conley (Todd) and Kelly Pendleton (Kingsley); sister, Jackie Mitchell (Brian) and several step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Sharon was predeceased by her husband, Glen Hatt; one daughter: Jane Weatherby; and brothers: Douglas Calder and Earle at birth.

Sharon loved spending time with her family and friends, she especially enjoyed being with her grandchildren. She was an avid reader, and spent a lot of her spare time walking when she was healthy. Sharon was an accomplished cook and enjoyed travelling. Her and Mike cherished their time together, boating and spending time together at the cottage on Bernie's Lake.

Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home (755-3533), 26 Portage Street, St. George NB. The Funeral Service will take place at the Lord's Cove Church of Christ on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at 2:00 pm with Pastor Richard Hovey officiating. The interment will be held in the Fairhaven Cemetery. In Sharon's memory, donations to NB Lung Association would be appreciated by the family.
