Thomas Benjamine Wilkins

The passing of Thomas Benjamine Wilkins of St. George NB occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John NB on April 20, 2022. Born in Saint John on September 18, 1965, he was a son of Carol (Hulme) Wilkins and the late Donald J. Wilkins. A loving and devoted spouse, father, grandfather, son, brother, nephew and friend, Thomas is survived by his beloved spouse: Gladys Holt of St. George NB; children: Jessica (Jonathan) Innes of Cornwall PE, Nathan Holt (Marlena) of St. George NB and Mallory Holt of Blacks Harbour NB; chosen children: Derek (Belenda) Gaudet and Josh (Caitlin) Gaudet both of St. George NB; grandchildren: Guinevere, Morgana, Harven, Hayden and Nolan; his mother: Carol Wilkins of Saint John NB; one brother: Jason Wilkins of Saint John NB; sisters: Christine (Sonny) Babineau of Pennfield NB, Debbie Wilkins of Saint John NB and Deanna (Stephen) Gaudett of Blacks Harbour NB; his aunt and Godmother: Diane Hulme of Saint John NB; his Godson: Little Jay of Saint John NB; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his father, Thomas was predeceased by both his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Prior to illness, Thomas worked in the maintenance department for Connors Brothers for 26 years before he went out west to work from 2012 to 2015. An avid outdoorsman, Thomas loved camping and four wheeling and was a member of the Charlotte County ATV Club #39 where he served as treasurer. Active in his community Thomas also served on the board of the Adult Learning Center in St. George and held this position close to his heart as he truly loved to help people reach their goals. He loved his family greatly and could often be found playing with the kids and keeping them entertained and he loved to attend all family functions that were held.

Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home (755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George NB. Resting at the funeral with visiting on Sunday from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm. The service will be held from the funeral home chapel on Monday at 2:00 pm with Rev. Ann Boudreau officiating. In Thomas' memory, donations to the MS Society of Canada or to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family. The family has requested that masks be worn for both the visitation and funeral service.
