Olive Elvira Berriault

The passing of Olive Elvira (Gillis) Berriault, wife of the late Archie N. Berriault formerly of Bocabec NB, occurred at the Passamaquoddy Lodge, St. Andrews NB on March 14, 2022. Born in Bocabec NB on August 3, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Harry and W. "Loretta" (Cunningham) Gillis. A loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, Olive is survived by her children: Sandra Ingram, Chester (Eileen) Berriault, Marsha Albert, Eric Berriault, Merriam Logan, Lucille (David) Harmon, Judy (James) Harmon, Hope (Wayne) Storey and Simon Berriault; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings: Allan Gillis, Grace Marlien and Phillip Gillis; several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents and husband, Olive was predeceased by one son: Joseph; and by several siblings. 

Prior to her retirement, Olive worked as a Registered Nursing Assistant at the Charlotte County Hospital. She loved her career and found it rewarding to help those in need. In her free time she loved crocheting and knitting and everyone she knew loved to get a pair of mittens or socks because she truly made the best.

Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home (755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George NB. As keeping with Olive's wishes, there will be no visiting. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date. In Olive's memory, donations to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
