Valery "Bud" James Brown

At the Grand Manan Hospital, Grand Manan NB on January 16, 2022, Mr. Valery "Bud" James Brown, beloved husband of Margot Joan (Ingersoll) Brown of Grand Manan NB. Born on Grand Manan On April 3, 1936, he was a son of the late Floyd and Grace (Tatton) Brown.

    A loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, in addition to his wife Margot, he is survived by his daughters: Crystal (Randy) Griffin of St. Stephen NB and Tina (Jeremy) Lyon of Grand Manan NB, his sons: Tony (Lisa) Brown of Moncton NB and Stuart (Kimberly) Brown of Grand Manan NB, 11 grandchildren: Lindsey, Ali, Caleb, Jordan, Katie, Zack, Riley, Makayla, McKenzie, Madison and Hayden, six great grandchildren: Griffin, Scarlett, Jace, William, Eliza and Jett, three brothers: Blair (Claudette) Brown of Fla., Jerry (Holly) Brown and Arthur (Cheryl) Brown both of Grand Manan NB, two sisters: Mary (Murray) Brown of Grand Manan NB and Nancy (Roger) Nason of Fredericton NB as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a son Wade and his brothers: Ron and Bob.

   In his younger years, Bud carried herring aboard the Devima. He was co-owner of the Mystery Weir and could be found watching the gulls for signs of herring. Bud also was a lobster fisherman. He enjoyed curling, tennis and badminton as well as traveling to Florida with the love of his life, Margot. Bud loved his family and enjoyed watching his grandchildren on the basketball court and on the baseball field. Bud was a storyteller with a great sense of humor. He loved people and made many friends from far and wide. he was a kind, caring man and will be sadly missed.

    In keeping with Bud's wishes there will be no visiting or service. In Bud's memory, donations to a charity of the donors choice would be appreciated by the family.
