Ann Doiron

The passing of Ann Doiron, wife of Joseph "Yvon" Doiron of Pennfield NB occurred peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on December 7, 2021. Born in Newcastle NB on November 17, 1936, she was a daughter of the late Wilfred and M. Florida (Hache) Godin. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother, in addition to her husband, Yvon, Ann is survived by one son: Edmund Doiron (Jeanne) of Pennfield NB; daughters: Noreen Allain (Desire) of Moncton NB, Diane Guimond (Adrien) of St. Charles NB and Betty Ann Doiron of Moncton NB; 10 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents, Ann was predeceased by one brother: Willie Godin; and one sister: Nellie Belliveau. Ann was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

In her earlier years Ann worked for a short time for Connors Brothers in Blacks Harbour. After her children arrived she devoted her time to her family and home. Ann enjoyed board games, especially Pichnoc, and playing Bingo when she had the chance. She was an avid knitter and could be found doing puzzles and crossword puzzles in her spare time. Ann was a lover of music, especially classic country music and enjoyed listening to her son Edmund and daughter Noreen singing on stage. In her later years, Ann enjoyed a nice glass of Red Wine and spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren, who became her life and treasure. She will be sadly missed and forever loved by her family.

Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home (755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George NB. Resting at the funeral home with visiting  Friday from 6-8 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from the Stella Maris Catholic Church, Blacks Harbour NB on Saturday at 11:00 am with Father Rolando Suplido officiating followed by the interment in the parish cemetery. In Ann's memory, donations to Charlotte County Cancer or to the Eastern Charlotte Extra Mural Program would be appreciated by the family.

Due to mandatory regulations imposed by the New Brunswick government, everyone 12 years of age and older, must show proof of vaccination or medical exemption certificate and a government issued ID to attend the funeral service and/or visitation. Face masks must be worn at all times while in the church and funeral home.
