Bertrum "Bert" Howard Anthony
1955-2021
At the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John NB on December 1, 2021, Mr. Bertrum Howard Anthony, husband of the late Rebecca Ann (Brown) Anthony, of St. George NB. Born at Saint John NB on May 14, 1955, he was a son of the late Ralph and June (Curran) Anthony.
A loving companion, father, grandfather and brother, he is survived by his partner Marilyn McIver, son; Andrew (Tammy) Anthony of Doaktown NB, his daughter; Leigh-Ann (Kenneth) Richardson of Leonardville NB, grandfather to: Rachel (Ben), Kaitlyn, and Maegan, his brother; Howard (Cathy) Anthony of Oak Bay NB, sisters: Bonnie (Mark) Seelye of Blacks Harbour NB, Elizabeth "Betty" Anthony (Bruce Justason) of Quispamsis NB, Glenna (Allen) Mahar of Pennfield NB, Lori (Ian) Hudson of Grand Bay-Westfield NB, Sherri McLaughlin of St. George NB and Dorothy (David) Small of Pennfield NB, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, He was predeceased by his wife Rebecca and his brother Dallas.
Bert graduated from ECRS in 1973. He then attended NBCCs' carpentry program. Upon graduating he started his career at Harts, perfecting his craft until taking over the business and renaming it Anthony's Carpentry Shop. His workmanship is well known throughout New Brunswick by individual Custom Kitchens and the English Butler stores. Bert enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, boating, hunting, and four-wheeling. He loved spending time with his 3 grandchildren and the company of his partner, Marilyn McIver.
Resting at the Blacks Harbour Wesleyan Church with visiting on Saturday from 6-8 pm. Service will be held on Sunday at 2pm with Pastor Ken Banks officiating. Interment in the Christ Church (Anglican) Cemetery in Pennfield NB. Due to Covid 19 Protocals, proof of vaccine and ID required to attend visitation and service. In Bert's memory, donations to the New Brunswick Heart and Stoke Foundation or a charity of the donors choice would be appreciated by the family
