Thelma Marie Dugas

1933-2021

Thelma Marie Dugas

At Whitehall Estates, Kingston NB on Friday, November 26, 2021, Mrs. Thelma Marie(Wilson) Dugas, wife of the late Lionel F. Dugas, formally of Blacks Harbour NB. Born at Malauze NB on February 23, 1933 she was the daughter of the late Richard and Helen (Barthe) Wilson.

A loving mother, grandmother, great and great great grandmother, she was mother to her nine children: Ab (Jan) of Hampton NB, Marilyn of Blacks Harbour NB, Gerald (Stacey) of Pennfield NB, Roger (Debbie) of St. Stephen NB, David of Utopia NB, Ann (Tony) of Blacks Harbour NB, Charles (Bethany) of Cambridge Narrows NB and Darren of Moncton NB, grandmother to 17, great grandmother to 18 and great great grandmother to one; and sister to her surviving brother: Hazen Wilson (Ada Mae) of British Columbia. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Lionel and a son Leo.

Thelma was a homemaker, taking care of the house, raising the kids as well as many of the neighborhoods. She never allowed for anyone to leave hungry. Thelma loved to cook, bake, sew, plastic canvas crafts, and could make a costume out of most anything at the drop of a hat. She always enjoyed people of all ages dropping in for a visit, and maybe for some fries, homemade fish in batter or deep fried bologna. Thelma spent her last years at Whitehall Estates, where the staff  became like family that she loved, especially Brenda. Thank you for the care and love shown to her while she was there.

Arrangements are in the care of the St. George Funeral Home & Crematorium (755-3533). There will be no visiting at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Stella Maris Catholic Church on Tuesday at 11:30 am with Father Rolando Suplido officiating followed by interment in the church cemetery. In Thelma's memory, donations to the Alzheimer's Society of New Brunswick, New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of the donors choice would be appreciated by the family. Please keep in mind that Covid 19 protocals require proof of vaccine and ID to attend service.
