Wayne Maxwell Richardson

Peacefully at the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen NB on November 14, 2021, Wayne Maxwell Richardson, age 79 of Hiberina Cove, Deer Island NB. Born on Deer Island NB on February 6, 1942, he was a son of the late Maxwell and Dorothy (Davidson) Richardson. A loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother, Wayne is survived by his wife: Gloria Shaw (Calder) Richardson; three daughters: Valerie Justason (Dale), Sandra Richardson (John Clark) and Helen Richardson; son: Dwayne Richardson (Nikki); eight grandchildren: Olivia, Colleen, Mackenzie, Logan, Jacob, Rachel, Max and Cole; three great-grandchildren: Harrison, Leighton and Lennox; sister: Maxine Malloch; brother: Gene Richardson (Dawn); one step-daughter: Melanie MaCellan (Ashley); and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Wayne drove truck for many years and then worked with the D.O.T. as a road supervisor until his retirement. He enjoyed hunting, motorcycles and tinkering in the garage. In his retirement, Wayne found a passion for buying and selling antiques, but mostly enjoyed the buying part. He was a longtime Mason and was a member of Abnaki Lodge # 55, Lambertville NB. Most of all, he loved his family and looked forward to their visits. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.

Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home (755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George NB. As keeping with Wayne's wishes there will be no visitation. A Masonic Tribute Service will be held at the Abnaki Lodge #55, 1 Darke Road, Lambertville NB on Friday at 7:00 pm. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, those wishing to attend will be required to show a photo ID and proof of vaccination. A graveside service will be held at the Leonardville Community Cemetery, Leonardville NB on Saturday at 2:00 pm with Rev. Glen Cox officiating. In Wayne's memory, donations to the Lung Association or to Leonardville Community Cemetery would be appreciated by the family.
