Mary "Cecilia" (Comeau) Patriquin
The passing of Mary "Cecilia" (Comeau) Patriquin, wife of the late Stanley Patriquin occurred peacefully with her family by her side at the Fundy Nursing Home, Blacks Harbour NB on October 22, 2021. Born in St. Charles NB on March 10, 1937, she was a daughter of the late Livian and Anita Comeau. A loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, Cecilia is survived by her sons: Izedore (Carolyn) Chevarie and Emile (Joanne) Chevarie both of Blacks Harbour NB; eight grandchildren: Crystal (Bill) Barrio, Emile Chevarie (Katie Leavitt), Andrew Chevarie, Amelia Chevarie, Bobbie Jo (Dale) Cook, Joseph Chevarie, Jessica Chevarie and Danielle Chevarie; eight great-grandchildren; siblings: Marguerite Cormier of St. Charles NB, Emery (Anne-Marie) Comeau of Pennfield NB and Roger Comeau of Pennfield NB; chosen family: Mary Anne McCarthy of Nova Scotia and Maureen Evans of Pennfield NB; several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents and husband, Cecilia was predeceased by her twin sister in infancy: Emilia; brothers: Zoel, Isodore, Aurele and Joseph; and sister: Theresa Deveau.
Prior to retirement, Cecilia worked at the Tuna Plant for Connors Brothers in Blacks Harbour. A social butterfly, Cecilia`s outgoing and friendly nature allowed her to make friends wherever she went. When able, she enjoyed dining out with her friends and family where she often indulged in a feed a scallops. She loved music and could often be found attending many of the local music pick and jams. Her love, devotion and kind smile will be sadly missed by those who knew her.
Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home (755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George NB. In keeping with Cecilia`s wishes, a private family visitation will be held. A public graveside service will take place at the Stella Maris Catholic Cemetery, Blacks Harbour NB on Monday at 2:00 pm with Father Rolando Suplido officiating. In Cecilia's memory, donations to Charlotte County Cancer or to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family
