James "Jim" Albion Justason

James "Jim" Albion Justason of Beaver Harbour NB passed away peacefully at Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen NB on October 7, 2021 following a brief illness. Born in Blacks Harbour NB on April 12, 1942, he was a son of the late Basil and Della (Leavitt) Justason.

Jim was a loving husband to Phyllis E. (Eldridge) for 62 years and was a wonderful and devoted dad to his seven children. He worked in many different departments for Connors Brothers, the most recent being a fish buyer, until his retirement.

Jim enjoyed bird hunting, playing hockey in his younger days and was a member of the Pennfield Lions Club. Jim enjoyed spending quality time with his sons at the camp. He greatest joy were his grandchildren and he especially loved spending time with his great-grandchildren. He also loved his beloved Yorkie, Bentley.

In addition to his loving wife, Phyllis, Jim is survived by his children: Elaine (Rodney) Gowan of St. George NB, Jeffrey (Linda) Justason of Fredericton NB, David (Deborah) Justason of Beaver Harbour NB, Eugene (Gina) Justason of Halifax NS, Fred (Kelly) Justason of Blacks Harbour NB, Michael (Susan) Justason of Victoria BC and Lawrence (Cathy) Justason of Beaver Harbour NB; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; his sister: Marlene Justason of Blacks Harbour NB; and several nieces and nephews.

Jim was predeceased by his parents, Basil and Della Justason, two sisters: Joyce Hesse and Marie Turner; and by half brother: Art Card.

Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home (755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George NB. As keeping with Jim's wishes, there will be no visiting. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to Charlotte County Cancer would be appreciated by the family.
