Ralph Weyman Waite

The passing of Ralph Weyman Waite, husband of Judith "Judy" M. (Wilcox) Waite of Beaver Harbour NB occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John NB on August 14, 2021. Born in Blacks Harbour NB on March 22, 1948, he was a son of the late Douglas and Beatrice (Pendleton) Waite. A loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother, in addition to his wife Judy, Ralph is survived by two sons: Wayne (Shirley) Waite of Pennfield NB and Kevin Waite of Vancouver BC; one daughter: Julie (Rob) Burton of Beaver Harbour NB; grandchildren: Josie, Joey, Vanessa and Erin; great-grandchildren: Dahlia, Lily, Colby, Madison, Ainsley and Hunter; siblings: Gloria (Claude) Holland, Gail Justason, Douglas Waite (Andrea Lambert), Barbara Maxwell, Marilyn Richardson, Edward Waite, Sandra (Greg) Rooney and Linda Waite; his special friends: Wayne "Jackie" Carrier and Kevon Kinney; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Besides his parents, Ralph was predeceased by one brother: Ronald Waite.

A well known and respected man in the local community, Ralph worked as a mechanic and kept many people on the roads over the years. He loved playing cards, especially 63's and crib and enjoyed being in the company of his friends in family. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed both hunting and fishing when he was able. In his spare time, you could always find Ralph tinkering with something in the garage. His love and humor will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home (755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George NB. Resting at the Funeral Home on Monday from 2-6 pm. A memorial service will be held from the Christ Church (Anglican), Pennfield NB on Tuesday at 2:00 pm with Rev. Canon Caleb Twinamastiko officiating followed by the interment in the church cemetery. In Ralph's memory, donations to The Kidney Foundation or to the Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
