Marcel Senechal

The passing of Marcel Senechal, husband of Shirley (Guthrie) Senechal of Seeley's Cove NB, occurred at the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen NB on June 20, 2021. Born in Saint-Jean-de-Dieu QC on January 5, 1945, he was a son of the late Armand and Emilienne (Rioux) Senechal. A loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, in addition to his wife, Shirley, Marcel is survived by his son: Nick Senechal of Seeley's Cove NB; his step-daughter: Lori Guthrie (Jason Robinson) of Pennfield NB; grandson: Daniel Robinson; chosen granddaughter: Frances Payne; siblings: Cecile (Yvon) Levesque, Roland Senechal, Damien (Micheline) Senechal, Laurent (Marielle) Senechal, Madeleine Senechal, Jean-Marc (Lucie) Senechal, Gaetan (Gitane) Senechal, Marie-Marthe (Marcel) Gagnon, Lise Senechal and Jean-Francois Senechal all of Quebec; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by three siblings.

Prior to retirement Marcel worked for Cookes Aquaculture. A private and quiet family man, Marcel enjoyed spending his free time tinkering around the yard and being with his family. A avid sports fan, he was often heard cheering for all teams Toronto. He had a passion for music and had a massive record collection that included every genre you could want. His sense of humor and love for his family will be forever missed but always remembered.  

Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home (755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George NB. As keeping with Marcel's wishes, there will be no visiting or funeral service. In his memory, donations to Charlotte County Cancer or to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
