June Allyson Barrett

Unexpectedly at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John NB on December 7, 2016, June Allyson (Randall) Barrett, wife of the late Robert "Glenn" Barrett of Back Bay NB. Born on Grand Manan NB on February 19, 1949, she was a daughter of the late Lorne "Kitchener" and Velda (Green) Randall. A loving mother, grandmother and sister, June is survived by one son, Stephen (Margo) Barrett of Caithness NB; grandchildren: Brooke Barrett (Cody Lord), Brandon Barrett, Ashton Barrett and Acacia Barrett; special granddaughter: Erica Borthwick (Dan Frost); special grandchildren: Rylee and Naomi; one brother: Wade Randall of L'Etete NB; one sister: Mary Fosmark of Saint John NB; daughter-in-law: Allene Barrett (Kris Van Horne); several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her husband and parents, June was predeceased by one son: Wayne Barrett; one brother: Nelson Randall; and by one sister in infancy.

Prior to retirement June worked for Connors Bros in both Back Bay and Blacks Harbour. June was a supportive hockey Nanny who enjoyed watching her grandson, Brandon's, games. She loved to play BINGO and could often be found knitting in her spare time. June truly loved her family, especially her grandchildren, and her sense of humor and loving heart will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home (755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George NB. Resting at the Sea View Full Gospel Church, Back Bay NB with visiting on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The service will take place at the church on Tuesday at 2:00 pm with Rev. Gordon Cooke officiating, followed by the interment in the St. George Rural Cemetery. Donations in June's memory to the Kidney Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
