Maxine Justason

At York Care Centre, Fredericton NB on December 16, 2014, Mrs. Maxine (Gaudet) Justason, wife of the late Burton Justason formerly of Pennfield NB. Born at Saint John NB on May 10, 1940, she was a daughter of the late John and Pearl (Outhouse) Gaudet. A loving mother, grandmother and sister, Maxine is survived by two daughters: Susan (David "Jed") Hill of Pennfield and their children, Joshua Hill (Heather Nantes) of Edmonton AB and Jonathon Hill of Pennfield: Shelley (Phillip) Munn of Fredericton and their children: Chelsea Munn (Drew McConnell) & Riley Munn also of Fredericton; one son: Ross (Karen) Anstis of Fredericton and their children: Daniel Anstis (Colleen Rooney) of Fredericton, Leah Anstis of Fredericton and Juli (Steve) Shipley of Rothesay NB; three great-grandchildren: Ryley Anstis, Aryauna Shipley and Colin Quinn Anstis; one sister, Evelyn (Stanley) Baldwin of St. George and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her husband and parents, Maxine was predeceased by one sister: Roberta McGarrigle; and by one brother: Johnny Gaudet.

Prior to her retirement Maxine worked for Optil Canada in Oromocto NB, upon moving to Pennfield, she casually worked as a store clerk for David Comeau as well as Phil's Pennfield Convenience. She loved the outdoors and could often be found gardening and doing yard work. Maxine was devoted to her family, especially her grandchildren and loved to be in the company of her loved ones. She had a love of animals and enjoyed feeding the deer. In her younger days, she enjoyed bowling and doing arts and crafts.

Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home (755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George NB. Visiting will be held at the funeral home on Sunday from 1-3 pm. A Graveside service will be held immediately following the visitation at 3:15 pm the Christ Church (Anglican) Cemetery, Pennfield NB with Rev. Nelson Koonce officiating.
