John "Neil" McLean

Peacefully following a courageous battle with cancer, Mr. John "Neil" McLean, loving partner of Lynda Morton, passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John NB on November 13, 2014. Born in Corner Brook NL on August 11, 1950, he was the son of John Dougall McLean and the late Barbara (nee Justason) McLean. A loving partner, father, grandfather and brother, in addition to his partner Lynda, he is survived by children: Nathan and Sarah & Lori and Kevin; granddaughter: Eva Lily; his father: John Dougall McLean; siblings: Margaret (David) Attis and Dougall (Wanda) McLean; and by several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his mother, Neil was predeceased by one nephew, Richard Jesse McLean.

Neil was a gentle and caring man. An avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed hunting and fishing, making many warm and happy memories with family and friends especially at his sanctuary (camp) in McDougall.

Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home (755-3533) 26 Portage Street. In keeping with Neil's wishes, there will be no visiting. The family will honor and celebrate his life with a private service at a later date. In Neil's memory, donations to the Children's Wish Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
