Roberta E. Richardson

Roberta Richardson died peacefully, at home on Deer Island on Saturday, July 19, 2014. She was born on August 11, 1925 on Deer Island to the late Chelius and Harriett (Barteau) Richardson. Roberta owned and operated Richardson Grocery for many years with her husband on two separate occasions. She was also a postmaster with Canada Post.

Roberta is survived by her sons: Brent of Fredericton and Roger and Ricky both of Deer Island; grandchildren: Lucas of Deer Island and Tonelle of Nova Scotia. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Lawrence; her parents and her sister, Harriett.

Arrangements under the care of the St. George Funeral Home (755-3533), 26 Portage Street, St. George NB. Roberta will be resting at the Lambert’s Cove Baptist Church on Sunday 7:00-9:00 pm. A Celebration of Roberta’s Life will be held from the church on Monday, July 21, 2014 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Maurice Hatfield officiating. Interment will take place in the Mount Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers remembrances to any charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
