Hulda Eileen Johnson
At the Passamaquoddy Lodge, St. Andrews NB on May 15, 2012 surrounded by her family, Mrs. Hulda Eileen (Searles) Johnson, wife of the late Edison Murray Johnson, formerly of Deer Island NB. Born at Campobello NB on January 14, 1919, she was a daughter of the late James and Emma (Avery) Searles. A loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she is survived by two sons; Carson (Diane) Johnson of Lords Cove NB and Gerald (Brenda) Johnson of Digdequash NB, 14 grandchildren; Linda, Gary, Donna, Joey, Sherry, Howie, Jason, Wanda, Tammy, Jeannette, Trudi, Tracy, Brad and Jimmy, 26 great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her husband, Edison, she was predeceased by one daughter, Myrtle Buckner, one son, Floyd Johnson, one grandson, Robbie Johnson, five brothers; Teddy, Francis, Harold, Lawson and Wilford and by one sister Bertha Roy.

Hulda was a loving wife and mother who committed her life and love to her family and friends. She loved to have company and was known to feed everyone who walked through her door. She took great pride in her family and her home and loved people in general. She was a very dedicated Christian woman who could often be found reading scripture. Her loving compassion and smile will be sadly missed by her family.

Resting at the Lambert’s Cove Baptist Church from where the service will be held on Sunday at 2 pm with Rev. Maurice Hatfield officiating. Visiting at the church will take place on Saturday from 2-4 pm. In Hulda’s memory, donations to the NB Heart & Stroke Foundation or to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
