Margaret  Miles
Peacefully at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John NB on August 16, 2010, Mrs. Margaret (Wadman) Miles, wife of the late Mr. Enos Miles of Utopia NB. Born at Glace Bay NS on July 20, 1919, she was a daughter of the late Richard and Mary Ann (Moore) Wadman. A loving mother and grandmother, she is survived by two sons; Enos & Brenda Miles of Saint John NB and Val & Hazel Miles of Utopia, one daughter, Lillian & Burton Hall of Utopia, her grandchildren; Jeff & Stella Miles, Donna & Brian McCullum, Valarie & Ricky Vienneau, Michele & John O’Neill, Shauna & Justin Fudge, Monica & Andrew Broome, Jason Hall & Mellissa Frierson and Kalvin & Carrie Hall, her great grandchildren; Crystal, Ryan, Brent, Jennifer, Craig, Trevor, Tara, Jeremy, Emily, Haley, Chloe, Matthew, Maddison, Michaela, Tamreeka, Matia, Salantra and Ronald, one great great grandchild, Cameron and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her loving husband, Enos, she was predeceased by her brothers and sisters. Margaret was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Prior to her retirement, Margaret worked for Connor’s Bros. She kept very active after retirement and enjoyed cooking, knitting, bowling, Bingo, playing a hand of Cribbage and having conversations on the phone. She was a member of the OES Granite Chapter #15, St. George NB, Harbour View Seniors, Eastern Charlotte Association for Community Living and Christ Church (Anglican) where she served as a member of the choir for 20 years. Margaret loved her friends and family and especially enjoyed her grandchildren. She will be missed by everyone who knew her.

Resting at Christ Church (Anglican), Pennfield NB, from where the service will be held on Thursday at 2 pm with Rev. Canon Keith Osborne officiating, followed by interment at the church cemetery. Visiting at the church will take place on Tuesday from 7-9 pm and on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. An OES Tribute Service will be held at the church on Wednesday at 7 pm. In Margaret’s memory, donations to the Christ Church (Anglican) or to the Charlotte County Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
