Ruth "Charlene" Richardson
1938-2010
Peacefully at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John NB on March
7, 2010, Mrs. Ruth “Charlene” (Stuart) Richardson, wife of
Mr. Richard A. Richardson of Richardson NB. Born at St. Stephen NB on
October 17, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Rudolph
Stuart and Cora (Calder)(Stuart) Fountain. A loving wife, sister, aunt
and niece, in addition to her husband Richard, she is survived by one
brother, Dwight (Carol) Stuart of Saint John NB, nieces; Connie
(David) Hatt of Back Bay NB, Joan (Georges) Richard of Scoudic NB,
Vicki Haddon of L’Etete NB and Jennifer (Peter) Lavigne of Saint
John NB, nephew, Joel (Carla) Stuart of Quispamsis NB, step sister,
Marilyn Taylor of Lincoln NB, sister in laws; Constance Leslie of
Portland ME, Audrey Cline of St. Andrews NB and Deanna Richardson of
Portland ME, one uncle, Dr. Paul (Helen) Calder of Ankeny IA, and
several grand nieces and nephews and cousins. Besides her parents she
was predeceased by her first husband, Wallace Dale Leslie, and sister
in law, Shirley Haddon.
Prior to her retirement, Charlene worked as a secretary for the Deer
Island School and numerous other employers. She was an avid reader and
recently a computer enthuiast. She was a member of the Lambert Cove
Baptist Church, Lambert Cove NB.
Resting at the Lamberts Cove Baptist Church, Lamberts Cove NB from
where the service will be held on Thursday at 1 pm with Rev. Maurice
Hatfield officiating, followed by interment at the Mount Hope
Cemetery. Visiting at the church on Wednesday from 1-4 pm. In lieu of
flowers, donations to the Kidney Foundation, the Canadian Diabetes
Association are preferred by the family. Arrangements in the care of
