Mary Beth Kernighan

The passing of Mary Beth Kernighan occurred unexpectedly at her residence in St. George NB on February 10, 2024. Born in Saint John NB on May 16, 1974, she was a daughter of the late George and Lorena (Hooper) Kernighan. A loving mother and grandmother, Mary Beth is survived by her daughters: Natalie Goguen (Chris) and Tristin Cooke both of St. George NB; grandchildren: Grace, Simon, Addyson, Rylie and a new baby on the way; two step-sons: Brody Giberson and Austin Giberson (Arden) both of Fredericton NB; and many cousins. In addition to her parents, Mary Beth was predeceased by her sisters: Tabitha and Florence.

Mary Beth was a simple lady who loved to be in the company of her most prized possessions, her grandchildren. Her grandchildren truly were her life and she devoted all the time she could to being with them. Her love and support to her family will be lovingly remembered but deeply missed by all.

Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home (506-755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George NB. A service will be held from the Sea View Full Gospel Church, Back Bay NB on Wednesday at 2:00 pm with Rev. Paul Legere officiating. Visiting at the church will take place prior to the service, beginning at Noon. In Mary Beth’s memory, donations to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
