Lucille Elisabeth LeBlanc

It is with great sadness and appreciation of a life well-lived, that the family of Lucille Elisabeth LeBlanc, wife of the late Ernest J. LeBlanc, announce her peaceful passing at Bobby’s Hospice, Saint John, NB on January 29, 2024. Born in Shediac, NB on February 20, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Valentin and Jeanne (Leger) Landry.

A loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Lucille is survived by her children: Rose Patterson, Patricia LeBlanc, Ernest Jr. LeBlanc (Donna Keays) all of Saint John, NB, Joseph (Angela) LeBlanc of Back Bay, NB, Bernard LeBlanc (Beth Stewart) of St. George, NB, and Louise LeBlanc (Jeff Holt) of Pennfield, NB; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; ten great-great-grandchildren; sisters: Rita Donelle and Geraldine (Dennis) Owen; sister-in-law: Yvette Landry; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her daughter, Jeanne McLaughlin, grandson, Curtis LeBlanc and siblings, Joe, Camille, Robert, and Yvonne.

Over the years, Mom enjoyed camping with Dad along with her family and friends at Sandy Beach and spending winters in Florida. She enjoyed playing bingo and was a very lucky lady.

We miss you already, Mom, but are comforted knowing that you are now at peace.

The family would like to thank the staff of the New Brunswick Extra Mural Program and the staff and volunteers at Bobby’s Hospice for their kind and compassionate care shown to Lucille and her family.

Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home (506-755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George NB. In keeping with Lucille’s wishes, there will be no visitation. A graveside service will be held in Shemogue, NB in the spring. In Lucille’s memory, donations to Bobby’s Hospice or to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
