Keith Allison Leavitt

December 30, 2020, at the Charlotte County Hospital with his daughters at his side, Keith Allison Leavitt, beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle and friend, born in Black’s Harbour, NB on March 27, 1932 the son of the late Wesley and Mildred (Bradford) Leavitt.

Keith was predeceased by his beloved wife of 58 years, Alice Leavitt. In addition to his wife and parents, Keith was also predeceased by 2 sons, Jerry and Dean, by brothers, Wesley, Frank, Vance; sisters, Norma Brown, Mildred Parks, and Joyce Hansen. Keith is survived by son, Terry of Campobello, daughters, Beth (Jeff) Torrey of Pennfield, NB and Janice Harmon (Ken Hanselpacker) of St. George, NB, granddaughter, Kaitlyn (Dylan) Kluna of Kingwood, TX and grandsons, Nicholas Harmon (Brianna) of Hermon, ME and Jay Torrey (Kenzie) of Lake Utopia, NB, great grandsons, Connor, Emmett, Emil and Oliver and his sibling, Herbert (Rose) Leavitt, Sr. along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Prior to retirement, Keith worked as a carpenter and his carpentry work was known far and wide. Many people still proudly display his garbage boxes and seats. Keith enjoyed time at his camp in Rollingdam, where he and Alice spent many hours.

Keith was very proud of his time in the military and loved to tell stories of his time in Germany.

Keith enjoyed traveling and road trips with his love, Alice. They have been on many an adventure and have seen lots of countryside together. Keith enjoyed staying busy and loved fishing and hunting and chatting with friends. He loved playing checkers and was known to skunk his friends more than a few times.

Keith and Alice were long time members of Cornerstone Tabernacle and the family appreciates all the prayers and kindnesses shown during our time of bereavement.

In his later years, Keith dedicated every hour of his waking day to his wife, Alice. The bond they shared during their last months together was truly an inspiration. As Alice’s mobility declined, Keith’s care and kindness for her magnified. Keith loved his Kindred girls and was so greatly loved in return. He also enjoyed time on Facebook viewing pictures of his family and friends near and far.

The family would like to thank Kindred Home Care, Ridgeview Manor and the Palliative Wing of the Charlotte County Hospital for their care and dedication to Keith. Thank you does not feel like enough to, Jackie, Carol and Jessica and all the girls.

Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home (755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George NB. Resting at the Cornerstone Tabernacle, 35 Marsh Lane, St. George with visiting on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. The service will be held from the church on Monday at 2:00 pm with Rev. Bill Gowan officiating. The interment will be held in the St. George Rural Cemetery in the spring. In Keith's memory, donations to Charlotte County Cancer or to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.

Please keep in mind, during both the visitation and funeral service, Covid-19 protocols will be in place and a mask will be mandatory to enter the church.
