Muriel Jean Eldridge

The passing of Muriel Jean Eldridge occurred peacefully at the Ridgeview Manor, Pennfield NB on October 12, 2020. Born in Beaver Harbour NB on December 14, 1923, she was a daughter of the late Guilford and Cora (Nodding) Eldridge. A loving aunt and friend, she is survived by her nieces: Estelle and Lisa; nephews: Preston and Ralph; and many friends. In addition to her parents, Muriel was predeceased by her siblings: Lena, Foster and Douglas. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Muriel spent her early life at the family home at Moose Island and continued as caregiver of her parents until their passing. For many years she was known for her dulse, picked nearby and acclaimed as superior to Dark Harbour and all others. Vision problems eventually took her independence but never her wit nor stubbornness. She was a long time resident of Ridgeview Manor where she maintained a keen interest in local and current events and in the people around her.
