Velma Delores (Moses) Bagley
At the Passamaquoddy Lodge, St. Andrews NB on September 28, 2020, Ms. Velma Delores (Moses) Bagley passed away peacefully with her daughters at her side. Born at Blacks Harbour NB on August 6, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Bertha (Justason) Moses. A loving mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin and friend to many, she is survived by her beloved daughters: Dawn (Allan), Debbie (Barry), Diane (Ron), Daphne, Denise (Giles) and Dolores (Garth); 12 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by brothers: Norman, Marney and Wilbur; and one sister: Thelma Small.

Prior to her retirement, Velma worked her entire career at Connors Brothers in Blacks Harbour in various departments. Velma enjoyed curling and dancing, especially clogging and square dancing. She had a love for music and singing in the choir. She also had a fondness for babies, spending time with her family and she enjoyed a good potluck and the lunch that followed a funeral. She will be sadly missed by her family and all who knew her.

Resting at the St. George Funeral Home (755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George NB with visiting on Thursday from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm, followed by a private family service. The public is invited to join the family for the committal service at the Stella Maris Catholic Cemetery, Blacks Harbour NB on Thursday at 3:00 pm. In Velma's memory, donations to Charlotte County Cancer, the Parkinson Society of Canada or to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
