Vivian Ruth Surette
The passing of Vivian Ruth (Justason) Surette, wife of the late Joseph R. Surette occurred peacefully at the Fundy Nursing Home, Blacks Harbour NB on August 12, 2020. Born in Saint John NB on January 12, 1937, she was a daughter of the late John and Nellie (Bradford) Justason. A loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, Vivian is survived by her sons: Mark Surette (Tammy) of Utopia NB and John Surette of Seeley's Cove NB: granddaughters: Natasha Guthrie (Adam) and Tiffany Henriksen (Troy); great-granddaughters: Kaylee, Kaci and Addison; one sister: Evelyn Sullivan of Digby NS; several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents and husband, Vivian was predeceased by her siblings: Reginald Justason, Arnold Justason and Helen McGarrigle.

Prior to retirement, Vivian worked at Connors Bros. in Blacks Harbour for many years. She loved to be with her family and friends and enjoyed socializing any chance she had. Vivian loved to go out to restaurants, especially the Birch Grove, where she could catch up with all the town news. Her love and caring heart will be deeply missed by her family.

Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home (755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George NB. Resting at the Blacks Harbour Wesleyan Church, Blacks Harbour NB with visiting on Thursday from 6-8 pm. The service will be held from the church on Friday for immediate family and close friends only. While social distancing, public may greet the family for the committal at the Pennfield Rural Cemetery, Pennfield NB beginning at 11:45 am. In Vivian's memory, donations to the Alzheimer's Society would be appreciated by the family.
