Arlene A. Waddingham
Arlene was born in her grandmothers home on September 9, 1940 in Grand Harbour, Grand Manan to Lillian and Ross Wilson.
In addition to her mom and dad she was predeceased by her husband Don Waddingham, her beloved friend of 25 years Ernie White and her brother Ross Wilson Jr.
Arlene leaves behind daughter Cindy Gaudet, son Blaine Nickerson (Gloria), sister Sandra Field (Robert), grandchildren Kyle Hachey(Stephanie), Kaitlynn Hachey And Dexter Gaudet along with her beloved great grandchildren Peyton, Paisley, Lennon, Weston, Melody, Blair, Jace, and Piper and several nieces and nephews.
Arlene lived in many places over her lifetime including Grand Manan, N.B., Canso, N.S. and many parts of Newfoundland. She moved to Beaver Harbour in 1968 where she spent The remainder of her life. Prior to her retirement she worked as a hairstylist for 40 years. She spent her free time quilting, watching CNN and bitching about Trump. She loved spending time with her great grandchildren who brought her the most joy and made leaving almost impossible. She was better known to many as Nanny Arlene. She will also be remembered for her kindness and generosity.
Words cannot express how grateful we are to the staff of the Palliative Care Unit at the Saint John Regional Hospital and at Bobby’s Hospice for caring for her as their own.
In keeping with Arlene’s wishes there will be no visitation or service but Cindy will have the coffee on at Arlene's home for those wishing to stop in on Friday and Saturday from Noon till 5:00 pm.
Arrangements in the care of the St George Funeral Home (755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George N.B. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Arlene can be made to Charlotte County Cancer or to a charity of their choice.
